Developing a project of this scale has been a long-time goal of mine. With the addition of our son, Caleb, as project manager last year, I’ve been fortunate to devote more time to expanding my role beyond building and into development. As a custom builder in Johnston County for more than 25 years, I’ve watched opportunities for local builders steadily decline. Lots continue to shrink, densities increase, and National Tract builders increasingly dominate the market. Developers are constantly looking for more lucrative easily managed deals.
The vision behind Double J Development is to provide premium lots for our Custom Builder Team, and allow families to live in a spacious community that feels right.
Our goal is to offer residents a thoughtfully designed neighborhood where families can truly enjoy their surroundings, without living on top of one another. A place where kids have room to play, parents can unwind from the pace of everyday life, and homeowners can take comfort knowing their investment is protected by intentional planning and quality standards throughout the neighborhood.
