Double J Development

Our Story
Established in 2025
On behalf of Joy and I, we want to thank you for considering Buck Ridge Community for your next home.
As a custom builder in Johnston County for more than 25 years, we have witnessed a clear shift in residential development. Larger homesites in thoughtfully planned neighborhoods are increasingly being replaced by national tract builder’s cookie-cutter home models on shrinking lots with growing density.
Seeing this trend firsthand, we recognized a need. Developing a project of this scale has been a long-time goal of mine, and with the addition of our son, Caleb, last year, I’ve been fortunate to devote more time to expanding my role beyond building and into development. The vision behind Double J Development is to meet that need by creating peaceful neighborhoods where families can enjoy their surroundings without living on top of one another. Where kids have room to play, parents can unwind from the pace of everyday life, and homeowners can feel confident their investment is protected by intentional planning and quality standards throughout the neighborhood.
At Buck Ridge, we are excited to offer 62 homesites in a secluded, rural setting, while still providing convenient access to major highways, restaurants, shopping, and preferred schools. Homes will start in the $700s and will include an Architectural Review Board process and HOA to ensure long-term neighborhood quality. With Jarman Homes also serving as a member of this exclusive Custom Builder Team, attention to detail and cohesive aesthetics will remain a top priority.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the enclosed information packet and would be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for your consideration in the Buck Ridge Community!
